The Charitable Endowments Act, 1890
(Central Act No. 6 of 1890)
It is extended to the Union Territory Goa, Daman and Diu by the Goa, Daman & Diu (Laws) No. 2 Regulation 1963 (Central Act 11 of 1963) promulgated by the President of India under Article 240 of the Constitution of India, published in the Government Gazette Series –I No. 22 dated 29/5/1964 and came in to force with effect from 1st February ,1965 as the date appointed by the Lieutenant Governor of Goa, Daman and Diu vide Notification published in the Government Gazette Series- I No. 2 dated 14-1-1965 .
As per the provision of Section 13 of the Act State Government empowers to make the Rules, however presently the Rules are not yet framed by the Government of Goa.
