_{It is extended to the Union Territory Goa, Daman and Diu by the Goa, Daman and Diu (Extension of the Code of Civil Procedure and the Arbitration Act) Act, 1965 (Central Act No. 30 of 1965) Published in the Government Gazette Series –I No. 32 dated 4/11/1965 and came in to force with effect from 15th June 1966  as the date appointed by the Central Government vides notification, published in the Government Gazette dated 2nd June 1966.}
