(Central Act No. 1 of 1872)

It is extended to the Union Territory Goa., Daman and Diu by the Goa, Daman & Diu (Laws No. 2) Regulation, 1963(Central Act 11 of 1963) promulgated by the President of India under Article 240 of the Constitution of India, published in the Government Gazette Series I No. 22 dated 29/5/1964 AND came into force with effect from 1^st June, 1964 as the date appointed by the Lieutenant Governor of Goa, Daman and Diu vide Notification published in the Government Gazette Series I No. 22 dated 29-5-1964.
