(Central Act 45 of 1860)
It is extended to the Union Territory Goa, Daman and Diu by the Goa, Daman & Diu (Laws) Regulation 1962 (Central Act 12 of 1962) promulgated by the President of India under Article 240 of the Constitution of India, published in the Government Gazette Series I No. 41 dated 6/12/1962 came into force with effect from 1st October 1963 as the date appointed by the Lieutenant Governor of Goa, Daman and Diu vide Notification published in the Government Gazette Series I No. 33 dated 22/8/1693. Thereafter vide Order No.GAD/74/63/21790 dated 24th September ,1963 published in the Government Gazette Series-I No.38 dated 26-9-1963 its extended to 1st November 1963
